OUR SCIENCE

In the end it’s all about performance. And products that keep their promise. But years before our products ever made their way into your wellbeing, our products started out as ideas in our labs. Ideas that were invented, synthesized, and analyzed. Again and again until our beauty experts were astonished by the results.

At Beautilogy, we are committed to use advanced technology that are administered transdermally to optimize the skin cells in growth areas, namely dermis and epidermis, allowing for an internal re-establishment of the natural healthy skin cell cycle. As these supporting layers of the skin peak towards their natural operating function the affects can be seen in the subsequent outer layers through corrective balanced exfoliation, skin health, and visible skin beauty.

The Skin CellĀ

As skin ages it loses the message to replenish itself at the proper rate. Damage from the environment slows cell turnover rate, causing the dead cells on the surface (stratum corneum) to accumulate and become thicker reducing moisture, nourishment, and protection from within, producing rough unhealthy skin. The ultra violet (UV) rays from the sun, increase pigmentation and damage to skin cells, resulting in age spots and freckles. Collagen and elastin, which is the structure that holds the skin together, start to break down causing it to lose its firmness and resilience.

Peptides allow the skin’s cellular function and skin renewal cycle to become optimized and renewed, which replaces the upper thick dead skin cells. Rejuvenation of the dermis helps to renew and smooth the skin’s surface. Renewal of the stratum corneum also helps reduce the appearance of uneven pigmentation and freckles, while healthy collagen and elastin promote firm, youthful skin.

Essential Fatty Acids

Beautiful skin comes from within!  Our skin is a reflection of what we feed our body and one of the most neglected parts of our nutrition - essential fatty acids - can impact on our skin's natural look and feel. Lack of essential fatty acids constitutes the most neglected aspect of a nutritional program for healthy, radiant skin. Without enough of these in our diet we can become prone to dehydrated skin, sunburn, and inflammatory skin conditions.

Youthful skin is full of plump, water-filled cells. A skin cell’s ability to hold water decreases with age. A healthy skin cell has a healthy membrane, which keeps good things in, like water and nutrients, and allows waste products to pass out.  It is a fatty acid’s job to keep that cell healthy and its membrane functioning. Not getting enough essential fatty acids results in unstable membranes that cannot keep their buoyant shape, which in turn leads to saggy, aged skin.

The cells integrity is also determined by the type of fat we eat. Researchers believe that diets containing large amounts of saturated or hydrogenated fats produce cell membranes that are hard and lack fluidity whilst diets rich in essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6 produce cell membranes with a high degree of fluidity allowing the membrane to work at its best.

Essential Fatty Acids work in three ways:

  1. They allow the cells to retain water, essentially moisturizing the skin from within.
  2. Omega 6 helps the body maintain hydration which also helps with retaining the skin's look and feel.
  3. Omega 3 is anti-inflammatory so helps to reduce inflammatory skin conditions.

Hyaluronate

Hyaluronate is a substance that attaches to collagen and elastin to form cartilage that acts as a space filler by binding to water and keeping the skin wrinkle-free, helping to increase supplies of joint-lubricating synovial fluid. It provides continuous moisture to the skin by binding up to 1000 times its weight in water. With age, the ability of the skin to produce hyaluronate decreases, starting at around the age of 18 to 20 years.

Our breakthrough hydration therapy works on the skin’s surface and the layer below to deliver visible improvements to increase the hyaluronate level, truly giving skin the moisture it needs to maintain elasticity, strengthen collagen, and minimize wrinkles. Collagen production improves and collagen destruction lessens so aging slows and skin appears more supple and firm. At Beautilogy, enjoy extensive benefits in comparison to common moisturizer that simply sit on top layer only to soften skin.
